Puff Pastry Salami Tarts

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry

  • 2-4 tablespons hot honey

  • 18 slices of Olli Salumeria Presliced Salami

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella provolone mix

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1/3 shredded parmesan

  • Pinch sea salt and Italian seasoning

  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry sheet into a larger rectangle. Cut the puff pastry into 9 pieces.

  • On the parchment paper, squeeze a generous amount of hot honey (more or less to taste). Top with 2 slices salami, a handful of cheese, and dollop of pizza sauce. Cover with a puff pastry rectangle so it covers the whole piece of salami. Use a fork to pinch the edges.

  • Apply egg wash to each tart and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, sea salt, and Italian seasonings.

  • Repeat to create 9 tarts.

  • Pop in freezer for 20-30 minutes so puff pastry is cold and set.

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes on the middle rack or until puff pastry is puffed and golden brown.

  • Flip over and top with extra hot honey, parmesan cheeses and fresh basil.

  • Serve and enjoy!
